DBIA Next Gen – Gonzaga Leadership Workshop

DBIA Next Generation (Young Professionals) has partnered with Gonzaga University’s School of Leadership Studies to deliver an interactive workshop focused on the art of facilitation with emphasis on developing young professional’s communication skills to promote stronger teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.

This facilitation workshop will expand leadership capacity by helping participants prepare for and lead meetings that engage all stakeholders, foster curiosity, and surface diverse perspectives. Participants will explore facilitation tools such as inviting dialogue, leveling conversational hierarchy, and managing conversational systems to enhance participation and creativity.

Through small and large group discussions, participants will practice strategies for building buy-in, avoiding groupthink, and discovering the “third way” — solutions that emerge when all voices are heard. The workshop will help participants translate facilitation principles into their day-to-day work, building confidence and effectiveness in leading collaborative, results-oriented conversations.
