About

About the Idaho Chapter

Over the past decade, Idaho has experienced remarkable growth in both public and private sectors, driving some of the state’s most complex and high-profile projects to date. In response to this dynamic development landscape and the need to promote efficient project delivery methods, a coalition of Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Owners united in 2025 to establish the Idaho Chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America Northwest Region (DBIA NW).

The Idaho Chapter is dedicated to educating public and private development communities about the advantages of the design-build delivery method and other collaborative delivery methods. To achieve this, the chapter will implement local and statewide initiatives, including owner’s forums, DBIA promotional events, and seasonal social gatherings. These events will feature tours of active design-build projects across the region, fostering engagement and showcasing best practices in collaborative project delivery.

Program Chair

Gregg Sanders brings over three decades of experience creating collaborative team environments for complex, stakeholder driven, science and workforce training projects. Gregg knows that robust collaboration does not happen on its own it requires an environment free of judgment, with enough structure to be predictable and enough flexibility to be innovative. Creating alignment across diverse stakeholder groups requires three key elements: good communication, personal confidence, and mutual trust and the projects below highlight his diverse experience doing this for institutions across the northwest and mountain states. In addition to architectural projects, Gregg’s work includes primary research to establish principles and strategies for highly effective learning centered design.
