Tim Graybeal, Lydig Construction
Regional Chair (President)
Tim is a licensed professional engineer and a strong advocate for integrated project delivery methodologies and a firm believer in the power of a high performing team. Tim is a designated Design-Build Professional and is the founding President of the Inland Northwest chapter of the DBIA. In 2013, Tim was appointed to the Project Review Committee of the Washington State Capital Projects Advisory Review Board, where he served until 2016.

Morris Aldridge, Executive Director of Planning & Construction - Tacoma Public Schools
Regional Vice Chair (Vice President)
Morris Aldridge stands at the front of the replacement and renovation projects for one of the largest school districts in Washington State as Executive Director of Planning and Construction for Tacoma Public Schools. Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) is the main school district for Tacoma, Washington. Composed of 35 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, 10 high schools and 4 early learning centers. TPS serves more than 30,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and over 5,000 employees, making them one of the largest employers in the greater Tacoma area. Morris has spent the last 5 years piloting new projects and implementing innovative school design ideas for TPS. He led Washington State’s first K-12 public school design-build project, which earned Project of the Year from AGC of Washington Construction of Excellence Awards for its work. With seven outdated schools replaced and 3 more in the pipeline, he consistently ranks among top visionaries in educational programs and projects embracing the core values of innovation, integrity and growth. Throughout his 35-year tenure, Morris has been a lighthouse in the learning environment serving as teacher, principal and assistant superintendent of public schools in Texas. Morris holds a Masters in Education from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. Morris is also a valued speaker in facilities planning, design-build progressive construction and capital bond projects and is DBIA Northwest Regional Vice President.

Jon McGrew, AIA, DBIA , LEED Green Associate. Associate Principal, Hennebery Eddy Architects

Jon is a leader for the firm’s commercial, academic, civic, and design-build projects. From new university buildings to transformative commercial renovations, he takes great pride in helping clients achieve their vision. Jon has more than 35 years of experience and an architecture degree from the University of Oregon. Jon became fully DBIA certified in 2014 and remains active at the local, regional, and national levels of the organization.

Colin Anderson, DBIA. Program Manager - Hill International
Secretary
As Operations and Program Manager, Colin oversees the procurement and pre-construction efforts for Hill International’s Eastern Washington alternative delivery projects. Colin has 28 years of experience in the AEC industry. He previously was a lead designer and senior project manager, where he managed over $250 million in Progressive Design/Build contracts. Prior to his architectural role, he spent 18 years in the trades, seven working for an integrated Design/Build company. He has held teaching positions in Construction Management and Computer Animation. He received his Master of Architecture from WSU and his undergraduate degrees from WSU and Minnesota State University.

Stacy Shewell, DBIA, PMP - OAC Services

With over a decade in the construction industry, Stacy has proven to bring tenacity and spirit to each of her projects. She understands the owner’s needs and has demonstrated a unique ability to foster collaboration and build consensus to keep projects focused, on time and on budget. Stacy has skills in procurement, design and construction management, design-build delivery, project planning and cost control. She has her master’s degree in architecture, and Associate DBIA certification.

Katie Popolow, DBIA, AIA.

For the past thirty-five years, Katie’s knowledge of architecture has widened through a range of diverse projects and a deep respect for all those involved in the design and construction of the built environment. Known as a “quintessential” architect, Katie is applauded by her colleagues for her ability to manage incredibly complicated projects while maintaining scrupulous sight of the details. As the profession becomes increasingly specialized, Katie’s comprehensive knowledge sets her apart, enriching her projects and bettering her teams. Most recently, she has returned to Seattle from San Diego where she managed Miller Hull’s San Diego studio.

Sean Gay is a former construction professional who applies his extensive industry experience to help clients achieve their goals. Before joining Stoel Rives, Sean managed construction projects in Washington and Hawaii. As a construction project manager, Sean was intimately involved in the technical and financial aspects of his projects. Clients rely on Sean’s ability to leverage his real-world experience to their legal issues. He advises clients on a broad range of matters, including project management issues, contract negotiations, public contracting issues, bid protests, and disputes. Sean has extensive experience litigating and arbitrating a wide variety of complex construction matters. His knowledge about how construction projects get managed and built—and occasionally result in disputes—has proved an invaluable resource in his legal career.

Vince Campanella. Vice President of Preconstruction - Lydig Construction, Inc.

Vince brings nearly 40 years of experience in construction & design management, public & private contracting, and preconstruction services, the last 30 years with Lydig Construction. His experience in alternative delivery projects includes over $300 million in Design-Build projects in the last 20 years. Vince’s leadership on these projects, especially related to preconstruction services, has led to their success and Lydig’s position as one of the top contractors in the region for Design-Build projects.

Lynette Todd, Senior Marketing Manager - Mortenson
Marketing Committee
Lynette has over 20 years of marketing experience in the construction industry. She has spent the majority of her career at Mortenson’s Minneapolis location and recently made the move to the company’s Portland office to oversee marketing efforts in the Oregon and Southwest Washington regions. She leads the marketing strategy and execution for pursuits, social media, public relations, website and media outreach.

Heidi Maki. Associate Principal/Marketing and BD - Swenson Say Faget

Heidi is thrilled to be joining Noah Toomey as the Regional Co-chair of the Marketing Committee. She brings 25 years of AEC marketing and nine years of board leadership experience with SMPS Seattle to the team. SSF is currently providing structural engineering for two D-B projects and is eager to work on more of these collaborative projects in the future.

He provides leadership and technical expertise and ensures that the necessary corporate resources are available to meet client expectations and bring each project to successful completion. Scott’s aviation portfolio is valued at $3.1 billion and includes major program renovations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport.

Morgan has a proven track-record of successfully managing projects to on-time and on-budget completion and is an effective leader who employs proactive management, creative problem-solving and teamwork to maximize
available resources. He has extensive experience in developing and monitoring project master schedules, estimating, job cost reports, and establishing and implementing effective communication procedures for all team components. He has worked closely with a variety of corporate clients on a wide range of project types under various contracting methods including design-build, CM/GC, and fixed price. Morgan is recognized in the industry for his ability to isolate and resolve various design and compliance issues early in a project’s evolution.

Janice Zahn, PE, CCM - Port Of Seattle

Janice Zahn is the Director of Engineering, overseeing design, construction management, survey , safety, construction labor and apprenticeship at the Port of Seattle, supporting Aviation, Maritime, Northwest Seaport Alliance and Economic Development projects. She is a licensed Civil Engineer and Certified Construction Manager, and brings over 35 years of design, contracting and construction industry expertise, from both the private and public sector. Janice serves as Chair of the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board and a member of Alternative Delivery Methods and Construction Management Subcommittees at the Transportation Research Board. Janice is also on the CMCI Board of Governors and chairs the Pacific Northwest DBIA Owner’s committee. She holds Masters degrees in both Structural Engineering and Public Administration from the University of Washington.

Herb Yamamoto is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (Mechanical Engineering, B.S., M.S.) and CEO of BIM Connection LLC, a provider of BIM/VDC services. As a DBIA NW Board Member, Herb Chairs the National DEI Committee and Co-Chairs the NW Committee. After learning Design-Build at Toyota Motors Corporation, he believes inclusion is part of design-build’s DNA because it’s about teaming and collaboration. Herb serves as Vice Chair of the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs, an organization that pioneered DEI principles in Oregon. Most of all, he values his faith in Christ and his family.

Brian Aske is an Operations Director for Lease Crutcher Lewis, leading integrated delivery projects. He has served on the DBIA Northwest Region Board for over 13 years and advanced Washington State’s current progressive design-build legislation. He has been a vocal advocate for design-build since his first design-build experience 27 years ago. Over the last 5 years, he has delivered $300M in progressive design-build projects, including DBIA’s 2021 Project of the Year and Best in Architecture.
