Welcome to the DBIANW Western Washington Chapter, Puget Sound’s go-to resource for information on design-build project delivery. Our members represent a cross-section of owners, architects, engineers, and contractors in the public and private sectors with a passion for the build environment. We come together over common interests and issues to develop insightful programs, provide guidance to state policymakers, engage young professionals, and network with one another.

Chapter Chair (President)
Director of Design and Construction with a demonstrated history of working in higher education & critical patient care medical hospital systems. Skilled in Design & Construction Management, Lean Construction, Business Process Design, Team Building, Project Estimation, and Sustainable Design. Strong leader with experience guiding teams through a wide variety of project delivery methods in the public sector including progressive design-build. Strong operations professional with a Bachelor of Arts focused on Architectural Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Washington.

Jeannie Natta, MS Construction Management, DBIA Professional. Interim Director, Project Delivery Group - University of Washington
Vice Chair
Jeannie Natta is an Interim Director for University of Washington Project Delivery Group. She received a Certificate in Construction Management in 2009 and MS Construction Management in 2013 from the University of Washington. Prior to her work in Project Delivery Group, Jeannie spent 10 years in the electrical trade, as a commercial electrician, and 12 years as an educator in university residential life programs. Jeannie draws upon her varied career background to manage projects for the University.

Stacy Shewell, OAC Services, Inc.

With over a decade in the construction industry, Stacy has proven to bring tenacity and spirit to each of her projects. She understands the owner’s needs and has demonstrated a unique ability to foster collaboration and build consensus to keep projects focused, on time and on budget. Stacy has skills in procurement, design and construction management, design-build delivery, project planning and cost control. She has her master’s degree in architecture, and Associate DBIA certification. Â

Marco Navlet, McKinstry Director of Business Development - McKinstry Company
Programs
Marco’s career spans 33 years in the MEP design and build industry, the last 32 years at McKinstry Company, a national consulting, construction, energy and facility services firm based in Seattle. Experience includes Purchasing, Estimating, Preconstruction, Construction Management, Sales and Account Executive roles. As a Director of Business Development he leads the company’s market analysis, strategic planning, and oversees account executives account plans. Marco continues to build networks in the Developer, Architectural, Engineering and General Contracting communities. He has volunteered for the last two decades serving on Board of Directors for DBIA, NAIOP and the Mechanical Contractors Association.

Dana Kimble, Senior Director of Business Development, Skanska Building USA
Programming Committee
Dana became a member of DBIA in 2016, driven by the connection with and collaboration between owners and the design and construction community. She is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with partners, clients and colleagues, both in her role as a senior director of business development at Skanska and as the chair of the Programming Committee for the DBIA Northwest Region.

TY Thornton, Project Engineer - Lease Crutcher Lewis
Young Professionals
Ty is an experienced project engineer who has been building on his civil engineering and economics background since he joined the construction industry with Lease Crutcher Lewis in 2017. He encountered several project delivery types in the healthcare market to start his career, including GC/CM, but found his calling when he had the opportunity to work on two Progressive Design-Build projects for higher education clients. Whether in project definition, design/preconstruction, or in the field, Ty values the cross-disciplinary collaboration Design-Build fosters and enjoys any opportunity to expose and educate future partners on the future of project delivery.

Jeff Leudeman, Associate DBIA, AIA, LEED AP BD+C. Architect - Integrus Architecture
Young Professionals
Jeff is an architect who takes pride in examining and improving processes. He is dedicated to delivering well-designed, constructible solutions that fit client needs. He has a Master of Architecture from Washington State University and works on Higher Education, Civic, and K-12 projects. He has a broad range of experience from pouring concrete in the field as a general laborer on large commercial construction to leading clients through the design and decision-making process as an architect. All of these experiences feed into Jeff’s passion for learning and improving his everyday work.

Brian Aske, DBIA. Operations Director - Lease Crutcher Lewis

Brian Aske is an Operations Director for Lease Crutcher Lewis, leading integrated delivery projects. He has served on the DBIA Northwest Region Board for over 13 years and advanced Washington State’s current progressive design-build legislation. He has been a vocal advocate for design-build since his first design-build experience 27 years ago. Over the last 5 years, he has delivered $300M in progressive design-build projects, including DBIA’s 2021 Project of the Year and Best in Architecture.
