DBIA Student Chapters
Shape your future by joining a DBIA student chapter. We bring students of multiple disciplines together and give them access to industry leaders and the design-build network. Join your student chapter or start one at your school today.
DBIA Student Chapters develop strong working partnerships between students and industry professionals. By preparing the next generation of design-builders, we’re building not just projects but futures. Designing not just better ways to work, but better networks.
In May, we formed the student scholarship selection committee for 2026 and distributed the invitation for this year’s DBIA Northwest student scholarship submissions. The selection committee included a diverse group of industry professionals representing owners, architects, engineers, and contractors from across the Northwest region, bringing a broad range of perspectives to the review process.
• Eric Ritchey – HKS – Architect
• Camie Mamer – CPL – Engineer
• Harleen Garewal – Lease Crutcher Lewis – Project Engineer
• Kendra Kurz – Washington State University Capital Facilities – Owner
• Brydon Eakins – MGAC – Owner’s Representative
• Joshua Thomson – Lease Crutcher Lewis – DBIA / Project Manager (Moderator, non-voting)
Our committee reviewed this year’s submissions through a blind selection process designed to minimize bias and ensure each applicant was evaluated on merit.
