Brian has been a strong advocate for design-build, since his first design-build project in 1996.  He obtained his DBIA Professional Accreditation in 2006.  Brian has served on the DBIANW Region board since 2009 and was part of the legislative committee who authored and advocated for the current design-build legislation allowing Progressive Design-Build in Washington State.

Katie Popolow is a Principal and licensed architect at the Miller Hull Partnership. With over 29 years practicing architecture, she is always on the lookout for ways to improve success for all stakeholders involved in design and construction projects. She is committed to advocating for and promoting highly-qualified design and construction teams that place high value on relationships built on trust.
Ken Dyckman

Ken Dyckman

Past President

Ken Dyckman has over 30 years of experience in mechanical contracting, including involvement in hundreds of Design-Build jobs ranging in size from under $5,000 to over $20M.  He has also been involved with many other projects involving Design-Bid-Build, MC/CM, and ESPC, giving him a unique perspective on the benefits of Design-Build.  Ken is a principal at Hermanson Company where he has worked since 1999 in various roles from engineering manager to project executive for large and small projects, and is the immediate past president for DBIA NW Region.

Tim is a Project manager with 20 years of industry experience. He is a licensed professional engineer and currently serves as Pre-Construction Manager for Lydig Construction in Spokane, WA.  Tim is a strong advocate for integrated project delivery methodologies and a firm believer in the power of a high performing team. Tim is a designated Design-Build Professional and is the founding President of the Inland Northwest chapter of the DBIA.  In 2013, Tim was appointed to the Project Review Committee of the Washington State Capital Projects Advisory Review Board, where he served until 2016.

Shannon Gustine has 22 years of construction experience and a portfolio valued at $2.1 billion including significant design-build experience. She is a graduate of Santa Clara University and Oregon State University, where she earned her Bachelor and Master of Civil Engineering degrees.

Robynne is a consultant & attorney assisting primarily public owners in developing their alternative procurement strategies & contracts. She served on the DBIA National Board of Directors for 7 years & has been chair of the NW Region Legal & Legislative Committee since 2004.

Grayson is the co-founder of the Oregon Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America and is currently the chair of the Oregon DBIA Promotions committee. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Portland State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
