Join Lisa Washington, DBIA’s Executive Director/CEO as she discusses both opportunities and lessons learned during these challenging times, including insight gained about what DBIA members value most about the organization. She will also provide a glimpse at new initiatives on the horizon that will keep design-build and DBIA members at the forefront as our nation recovers, and provide insight as to how these initiatives will add significant value to the AEC industry.
2:30 PM Developing an Integrated Mindset, Barbara J. Jackson, PH.D., FDBIA
Doing design-build done right takes more than just winning a design-build competition or signing a design-build contract. It takes a whole new mindset. In this session we will discuss what this new mindset looks like and the challenges associated with shifting from a segregated services mentality, to an integrated services mentality. The skills and talents necessary to be successful on an integrated team will also be discussed, as well as some tips about how to lead, incentivize, and leverage such teams to get optimized results for the project and your clients.
