About the Event:
Join us for an in depth look at the design and construction of The Podium. The panel, consisting of the owner, design team and marketing/branding group will discuss how this project went from concept to reality. We will focus on economic benefits to the community, international branding and marketing as well as the design/build process. We will be offering The Podium Part 2 – Building Tour in Fall 2021.
Ashley Blake, Vice President, Spokane Sports
With a focus on organizational strategy, Ashley sets the overall vision for Spokane Sports. In addition to researching the latest sports trends and future events, Ashley does much of the legwork that results in bringing new events to our community. Her mind for details and her effective communication style guarantees a seamless event from start to finish.
Stephanie Curran, CEO, Spokane Public Facilities District
Stephanie has a B. A. in Public Relations from Gonzaga University and an M. A. in Organizational Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University. She is a graduate of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Venue Management School and Graduate Institute and the Senior Executive Symposium at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Stephanie currently serves on the Spokane Sports Commission Board, the Visit Spokane Board, the Greater Spokane Incorporated Board (Executive Committee), the Downtown Spokane Partnership Board (Executive Committee) and the Spokane Arts Board.
Colin Anderson, Project Designer/Project Manager, Integrus Architecture
Colin Anderson is a Senior Project Manager and Lead Designer with Integrus Architecture. He also serves as the President of the Inland Northwest DBIA Chapter. Colin received his undergraduate degrees from Minnesota State Moorhead and Washington State University. He received his MS in Architecture from Washington State University. Prior to his architectural career, Colin spent 15 years in the construction industry. Colin has worked on roughly $260 million worth of Design Build projects over the last eight years.
Neil Davis, President/Director of Design, Davis Architects
Neil Davis graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1976. Neil has over 40 years of experience as a designer, and planner who has distinguished himself as a leader in the field of architecture. His passion and vision for Davis Architects is exemplified in his designs that have enhanced the human experience across multiple projects throughout his career. His work has been recognized locally and nationally with the most recent being the Shutze Design Award for his classical design expertise. Neil has dedicated his career to design projects that reflect the client’s needs, desires, and vision to provide innovative spaces for the people who will inhabit the area. He has established a firm with a reputation of integrity, dedication, and service that creates exceptional designs that exist in harmony with the surrounding environment.
CK Anderson, Founder and Creative Director, helveticka
CK Anderson is the founder, principal, and creative director at helveticka, a Spokane-based creative group founded in 1988. He has more than 40 years of experience in all areas of graphic design and branding, including naming, identity, advertising, print, packaging, web, multimedia, signage and wayfinding, and experiential graphic design. CK is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the Society for Experiential Graphic Design, and was named Advertising Professional of the Year by the Spokane Advertising Federation in 2004.
