CANCELLED. Oregon DBIA is hosting an Owner’s ONLY Forum on April 24th. The forum will be an opportunity for open and honest discussion between owners who are hoping to find solutions to their project delivery challenges. The forum will be a combination of moderated discussions by national DBIA educators, experienced local area owners sharing their design build experiences, and will also include industry sector breakout sessions which will allow owners in specific sectors to share views and strategies.

The forum will take place at Stoel Rives and will be approximately 4 hours in duration. Industry professionals, including consultants and owner’s reps, are NOT permitted to attend.

Instructor Bio: 

Bill is currently a Construction Executive for Mortenson, focusing on alternative delivery of projects in the higher education, healthcare, hospitality, justice and tribal market sectors. Bill attained his DBIA Certification in 2004, and he was included in the inaugural class of the College of DBIA Fellows in 2018.  Bill has been on the DBIA National Faculty teaching the Fundamentals, Principles, and Post Award components of the Certification Workshop for the past 9 years, and he is a past President of the DBIA NW Region.

Instructor Bio: 

Robynne Thaxton Parkinson, JD, DBIA, is a consultant and attorney assisting primarily public owners in developing their alternative procurement strategies and contracts.  Clients include the University of California System; the Bonneville Power Administration; the Port of Seattle; Los Angeles County; the Cities of Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, and Richland, and the Public Utilities Districts of Okanogan and Grant Counties.   She served on the DBIA National Board of Directors for seven years and has been chair of the Northwest Region Legal and Legislative Committee since 2004.  She has been a Washington Super Lawyer since 2010 and is AV rated by Martindale Hubble.
