Looking Beyond Design-Build
The Inland NW Chapter of DBIA is excited to bring further insight into Integrated
Project Delivery from the perspectives of: owner’s representative, architect, GC
and public entity.
Discussion points will include:
- Benefits of Integrated Form of Contract (IFOA)
- Benefits of integrated team support of entitlements and preconstruction
- Production planning and productivity tracking
- Prefabrication / Offsite assembly / Kitting
- Structural innovations using IPD
- Project Culture
Much of Geoffrey’s experience comes from large, complex projects including
the recent $1.4B Cathedral Hill Hospital project in San Francisco as well
as acting Director of Enterprise Development at California Pacific Medical
Center (CPMC) where he was responsible for design, environmental review
and public approvals for multiple hospital and medical office campuses, long
range planning.
Geoffrey Nelson is responsible for shaping project opportunities for the Boldt
Company’s Western Operating Group. At different times, Geoffrey has worn
the hats of city planner, contractor, planning commissioner, architect, and
large project owner. Prior to his current role at Boldt, Geoffrey spent 20
years in community development, construction, regulatory, and health-
care sectors where he served in various management and leadership roles.
Geoffrey also currently serves as the DBIA-WPR Sacramento, CA Programs Chair.
