Building a Fulfilling Future: Maximizing the Benefits of Design-Build while also building on Professional and Personal Fulfillment
Career fulfillment can take many different forms and mean different things to each person, and often, it goes beyond the number on your paycheck and the title on your business card. While those things can be important, ultimately, they are not the driver that keeps you excited to come to work each day. Design-build is a project delivery method used to complete a project more quickly and efficiently. It can maximize teamwork, provides accountability and continuity throughout design and construction, and enhances communication and collaboration. Sounds awesome right? The elements that make design-build unique, innovative and successful are the same elements that help team members build meaningful relationships and go home feeling challenged, empowered and eager to take on the next project. These benefits, however, don’t just happen because it’s a design-build project. It takes a shift in mindset from traditional design-bid-build project delivery. It also requires adequate training and education of design-build best practices, mentorship, guidance and lessons learned from your project leadership.
In this program, you’ll hear from panelists with varying degrees of design-build project experience on what they like about the delivery method, what makes this work challenging and fulfilling, and what they wished they would have known when they got started.
*We encourage you to register for this event and bring along a colleague who is a new to design-build or interested getting started. This is a great event to learn from and network with peers in the industry.
