CMAA/DBIA Presentation Affordable Housing Development and Financing

Please join the CMAA Oregon Chapter and DBIA Northwest for our joint event, as we welcome guest speaker, Ryan Hood from Related Northwest, as he shares about affordable housing development, funding sources, and intriguing differences. A chapter favorite, we will gather at Lucky Lab Multnomah Village on 9/13 from 5-7pm.

As Senior Project Manager for Related Northwest, Mr. Hood is responsible for managing all aspects of the development process, from inception through completion, for Related’s affordable developments located throughout Oregon. Mr Hood has extensive experience navigating a host of financial structures and funding resources including 4% LIHTC, LIFT, New Market Tax Credits, METRO TOD, Portland Housing Bureau Affordable Housing Bond, METRO Housing Bond, OHCS MEP among others. Ryan has been involved in the development of over 10 multifamily projects ranging in size from 60 units to 250 units and has worked in a project management role on the development of over 770 units. Most of these have been new-construction, urban infill projects that have worked to respond to the existing urban fabric with incorporated community feedback.

Prior to joining Related, Mr. Hood was a project manager for Central City Concern where he managed all aspects of acquisition, entitlements, structuring and securing funding applications, design and construction. As a business manager and broker for PDX Urban Real Estate, he oversaw a portfolio of 20 single-family and multi- family properties including the supervision of the maintenance and rehabilitation of the entire portfolio
