Prior to serving as Director of SDC starting in 2022, Peschel served as the Program Head for the Construction Management program from 2012-2022. Peschel brings more than 15 years of construction experience to the classroom, including almost 10 years of extensive experience as an estimator and chief estimator. Prior to moving into the SDC Director role, his primary teaching focus was construction estimating, though he has taught numerous core Construction Management (CM) courses and electives to students from more than 10 different disciplines, including CM majors and minors. Coaching and mentoring students are also key passion areas for Peschel – exhibited by his Commercial teams’ success (earning 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in 13 of the last 16 years) at the ASC Region 6|7 Student Competition.
