Why did you join DBIA?
As an industry we are gravitating towards design-build because of the benefits being seen on projects. Being new to the process, I joined DBIA NW for their training and mentorship program, that I believe everyone who is building can benefit from.
What does “There’s a Better Way to Build” mean to you?
Having worked several years in the industry with “conventional delivery systems”, I understand there is a need to bring in a more collaborative and continuous process to building projects. Building better is when the Owner, Architect and Contractor are in alignment on project goals thus avoiding time consuming re- design and re- budgeting efforts.
