Natalie Cunningham, Assoc. DBIA
Project Manager at Bayley Construction
Years of Industry experience: 6

Representing: General Contractor in Western Washington

Why did you join DBIA NW?
I joined DBIA NW because I began my career working for three years in the capital projects department for a school district, I then transitioned to the general contracting side doing design-bid-build work. Having sat on both sides of the table and worked with the architects and engineers from both perspectives and I always felt there had to be a better way to build a team cohesive team comradery for the benefit of public works. After learning about DBIA and the training and perspectives they put forward, I knew it was what I was looking for.

What does “There’s a Better Way to Build” mean to you?
To me, a better way to build means finding a project delivery method that generates the best possible outcome for the owner, the contractor and the engineers. It means working as a team to find solutions, generate ideas, and put together a project the reflects the best efforts of the entire team.
