Thank you to Traci Hanegan, PE, FASHRAE and Robert Gerard, PE from Coffman Engineers for sharing their insights on COVID-19 preparedness in the built environment. The presentation highlighted COVID-19 research and tools that can be applied to our properties, jobsites and workplaces, as we seek to mitigate the risk of transmission as we re-enter our everyday environments.
The presentation included key takeaways from ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force guidance for building systems, for which Traci is a member, and pedestrian simulation modeling, a digital due diligence tool intended to enable social and physical distancing within physical spaces. Those attending also learned more about recent research findings and examples of how indoor air hydration plays a role in occupant health and disease transmission Please reach out to Traci or Robert for additional information.
